In a small office on Belair Road in 1977 a
family owned and operated construction company was born that would one
day gather many of the largest and most influential clients in the Baltimore
area. Since landing the company’s first job, Fort Howard
Hospital in Edgemere, Shade Construction Company has taken many other
projects in all areas of construction and renovation. During
its 30-plus years of service the company has completed more than
300 projects for Maryland hospitals including a wide variety of customized and
technologically advanced interiors and exteriors. General
construction projects in the religious, governmental, corporate, and
retail industries are among other endeavors that keep the company
thriving and its employees challenged.
Shade Construction, now
centrally located on East Joppa Road in Baltimore with an Eastern
Shore office in Salisbury, is well-aware of the value of providing
a range of services and of the importance of repeat business. More
than 96% of the company’s recent projects stem from former clients
throughout the Mid-Atlantic region; a clear indication of the successful business relations
Shade Construction continues to embrace and a clear example of its
mission to "establish long term customer-client relationships
built on trust and to excel in quality performance."
Shade Construction is
proud of its decorated history, having received numerous awards and
continuous recognition for exemplary achievement over the years. The
company has been awarded the
prestigious "Certificate of Commendation" from the
Associated General Contractors for America on numerous
occasions. The award is given for a zero incidence rate in more than 50,000
work hours. Shade Construction has also garnered countless certificates of
excellence in employee and public safety as well as craftsmanship.
