Allfirst Bank is
a very valued customer of Shade Construction. Shade has worked
with the facilities staff on many projects over the years.
One project was a complete renovation of the cafeteria on
the 10th floor of one of their property locations. Shade has
also completed a site for Allfirst that now houses a brokerage
firm. This project included renovations of a building that
was constructed in 1912. All construction was completed in
keeping with the building's original roots, both on the interior
and on the exterior. A mix of the old and the new is just
what was accomplished at this site. Shade has received recognition
commending their commitment to quality of service, professionalism
and customer satisfaction from Allfirst Bank.
Shade
has performed several large and complex roof replacement projects
for the BMA over the past few years. The projects involved
total roof replacement in some areas and enclosing the roof
in a new attic space in others. A restoration of the historic
limestone walls in the Schaeffer Court was also performed.
This work had to be coordinated with the curators in order
to protect the ancient mosaics hanging on the walls that could
not be moved. All projects were performed with tight security
and special care not to cause damage to the valuable artwork
within the building.
Shade
is the original installer of all the woodwork on the stage
as well as wood trim, doors and various cabinets throughout
the building. We have continued over the years to perform
various projects for the Symphony all the while working around
a varied concert and practice schedule. We have renovated
the conductors and soloist dressing rooms under a tight schedule
as well as renovating an executive meeting room and creating
a new lobby store with large hanging glass wall panels during
the symphony's summer vacation. We have also been called upon
to help with emergency repairs as well as installation of
banners in support of local events.
Shade
Construction has remained the contractor of choice for Westview
Savings Bank over the past several years. Upon completion
of a total interior renovation to the eastside Golden Ring
Branch, Shade was contracted to perform a major interior and
complete exterior renovation at the Westview location. Shade
worked closely with the owner and design team for the new
image that Westview was looking for. After several months
of planning and construction, the project was completed on
schedule and within budget. Shade is currently working with
the design team on future exterior renovations to the Golden
Ring Branch.
