Northwest Hospital received
an infrastructure upgrade showcasing Shade Construction's
ability to perform all phases of a project. The addition
included two new buildings - one of which serves as a
generator building with two new emergency generators and fuel
tank enclosures; the other houses a new switchgear and air
handling unit. Shade has also completed cardiac rehab,
hospice, and physical therapy centers at Northwest. Sinai
Hospital contracted
Shade to construct a new Post Partum center and to renovate
the Angioplasty Recovery area. Shade Construction has
performed numerous recent projects at Levindale.

Harbor Hospital
Center has been a long term client of Shade
Construction.
Shade has serviced the hospital by way of design
build, construction management, and competitive
bid projects. The projects have varied in scope of work and
size: from a Chapel and Gift Shop to entire floor renovations,
a new state of the art emergency department, and a waterfront
oncology expansion that oversees the Baltimore Harbor. Shade
has even built several off-site facilities including Helix
Health Park and Harbor Family Care which, combined, exceeds 75,000
sq. ft. of doctor's offices and outpatient surgical
facilities. Shade completed an 8,500 sq. ft. renovation
to the cafeteria at Franklin
Square Hospital Center as
well as MRI, IRU, and film library renovations and additions. Union
Memorial Hospital
and Good
Samaritan Hospital are
other long-term MedStar Health clients of Shade
Construction.

Howard County General
Hospital Shade
Construction has finished numerous projects at this facility
over the years. One of the most notable
jobs was the Post Partum Nursing Unit. This project consisted
of a total interior renovation of approximately 17,000 sq.
ft. with twenty-four individual private patient rooms, three
semiprivate rooms, two isolation rooms, and 30 baby nurseries.
Shade is currently working a 3 year, 135,000 sq. ft. renovation project which
includes state-of-the-art operation rooms, clinical labs, and
an MRI and Maternal Care Unit. Shade Construction has also
performed numerous projects at The Johns
Hopkins Hospital and
at Johns
Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
