Shade Construction has completed many projects both large and small at Northrop Grumman. All of the projects have been completed on time under aggressive schedules. Shade Construction's project team works closely with the architects and Northrop Grumman's engineers to keep the projects on time and under budget. Recent projects include complete renovation of 22,000 square feet at the main cafeteria. This includes services for all new kitchen equipment, new seating and serving area, and extensive concrete work throughout the kitchen equipment area. A complete loading dock facility, which started with reconfiguration of the existing four doors and equipment and continued with an addition of two new bays, new overhead doors and loading dock equipment. A new modernized 18,900 square foot merchandise distribution center, laboratory facilities for research and development including lab casework and fume hoods. Renovation of this area included extensive structural steel modifications to the existing building structure. All the way down to a single conference room with marker boards and motorized projection screen.

 
 

Pemco International is an industrial manufacturing facility. Shade has renovated an executive boardroom, executive offices, aesthetic upgrades to the existing exterior buildings as well as various projects in the laboratories and in the manufacturing buildings.

 
 

Shade Construction is currently working on their third postal facility and is proud of their accomplishments in completing two new postal offices complete with the upgraded postal service stores. The project underway is located in the heart of Maryland's state capital and is a major expansion of an existing facility. Shade Construction is working hand in hand with postal representatives as well as the Department of the Environment to carefully control any erosion activities so close to the Chesapeake Bay.
