Babies R Us Retail facilities consistently insist on aggressive scheduling that will enable them to display their products. Over the years, Shade Construction has completed numerous retail fit-outs. Shade has built two new "Babies R Us" stores and performed many interior renovations for "Toys R Us." These projects required aggressive planning and scheduling resulting in successful grand openings.   K-Mart   K-Mart, Inc. contracted Shade Construction to completely renovate the Wabash Avenue retail store. This included a relocated entrance with an aluminum storefront, automatic doors and masonry to match the existing, renovations of 10,000 sq. ft. of sales area, dressing rooms, renovation to the garden center, and a new restaurant in the store. All this work was completed while the store was open and conducting business. Work completed on the sales floor included continuous slat walls around the perimeter, new sales gondolas and display racks, flooring and painting. Shade's project manager and superintendent worked skillfully with the store staff to help keep construction from disturbing business.   Towson Town Center    Shade Construction has performed various projects at Towson Town Center since the mall opened for business. Shade completed leasing renovations to the food court, exterior elevator facade repairs to the parking garages, ADA compliant renovations to stairways, and tenant fit-out. Shade's work at Towson Town Center is yet another example of its ability to work safely and effectively in occupied spaces.
